Having finished this lesson on organizing and decorating a website, I now feel confident in my understanding of creating a directory structure. Creating directories such as 'pages' and '_assets' and organizing files accordingly improves the process of managing future modifications and maintenance. I now understand the significance of organizing files before starting coding.
However, I'm still having trouble using CSS combinator styles effectively. I understand the idea, but I need more practice to be able to use it to target specific parts of a structure that is more complicated, like a navigation menu. To get better at this part of styling, I'm going to put in more time studying and trying combinator selectors.
As an instructional designer, I plan to use making styles to make the learning process better for the students. Using transitions and box shadows can give you subtle but important visual cues that help people understand and connect with your work better. By testing these features and making design parts that can be used again and again, I can make sure that my teaching tools are consistent and accurate.
This class has given me great ideas on how to organise and decorate websites well, which will help me in my future job as an instructional designer. I'm looking forward to getting better at what I do and using these methods in my work.
