Standing Pose
Performing Triangle Pose (Trikonasana)
Starting Position: Stand with feet hip-width apart.
Step Back: Take a wide step back with your right foot.
Inhale: Lengthen spine and engage core.
Alignment: Extend arms parallel to the floor, right foot turned out.
Exhale: Extend torso to the right, left arm reaching up.
Hold: Breathe deeply for 3-5 breaths.
Inhale: Engage core and return to center.
Switch Sides: Repeat on the left side.
Rest: Stand tall and observe effects on body and breath.
Performing Ardh Matsyendra Asana/Half Lord of the Fish Pose
Starting Position: Begin seated on the mat with legs extended.
Leg Positioning: Bend left knee, placing left foot under right leg near right hip. Cross right leg over left knee, planting right foot beside left thigh.
Inhale: Take a deep breath, elongating spine.
Exhale Twist: Twist torso to the right, placing left elbow on outside of right knee.
Lengthen and Deepen: Inhale to lengthen spine more, exhale to deepen twist.
Hold: Maintain twist, breathing steadily, for 30-60 seconds.
Breath Awareness: Practice with breath awareness, inhaling to lengthen spine, exhaling to deepen twist. Avoid forcing and respect body's limits.
