Instructional Design Process

My approach often includes learner-centered design and iterative development. I rely on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to create effective and engaging learning experiences. It helps me to create structured, effective, and learner-focused instructional materials. It ensures that I meet diverse learners' needs and deliver engaging content that facilitates learning.

Anaylsis

In the Analysis phase, I focus on understanding the learning needs and goals.

 

This involves:

​

  • Identifying the Audience

  • Defining Learning Objectives

  • Assessing Current Knowledge

  • Identifying Constraints

​​

This process involves collecting data through surveys, interviews, observations, and consulting with a Subject Matter Expert to inform the design process.

Design

In the Design phase, I plan the structure and content of the course which includes:

​

  • Creating a Blueprint of the course structure

  • Selecting Instructional Strategies

  • Designing Assessments

Development

During the Development phase, I create the actual content and materials using current  technologies and tools.

 

This involves:

​

  • Developing Content and multimedia elements like videos or animations.

  • Creating learning materials

  • Testing Materials to ensure everything functions correctly and is user-friendly.

Implementation

During the Implementation phase, I deliver the instructional materials to the learners.

 

This includes:

​

  • Delivering the Course through LMS or other platforms.

  • Providing support for any technical issues or content-related questions.

  • Collecting feedback to identify any areas for improvement.

Evaluation

Finally, in the Evaluation phase, I assess the effectiveness of the instructional materials and make improvements.

This involves:

  • Conducting  Formative and Summative Evaluations to measure its impact and success.

  • Use feedback and evaluation data to refine the course for future iterations.
