Project Overview

This project focuses on helping higher education learners manage stress and time effectively. In collaboration with my team, we developed an interactive eLearning module on "Stress and Time Management" using Articulate Storyline 360, designed in alignment with the Quality Matters Higher Education rubric. The module provides learners with practical strategies to manage their workload, reduce stress, and enhance productivity.

Target Audience

Higher education learners looking to improve their stress management and time management skills.

Key Contributions

Developed engaging content that aligned with learning objectives, including 5-8 content slides and interactive learning activities.

Contributed to module structure and design, ensuring clarity and flow among learning objectives, learning activities and assessments.

Designed and integrated content and learning activities to assess learners' understanding of key concepts.

Challenges and Approach

Challenges

Maintaining learner engagement and ensuring accessibility and inclusivity was a key challenge.

Approach

We addressed this by incorporating AODA and WCAG accessibility standards, including alt-text for images, closed-captioned YouTube videos, and clear navigation. To maintain learner engagement, we integrated external tools like Kahoot and Padlet for collaborative activities, and used ClickUp to track progress.

Design Process

Content Development

Researched and developed content that provided actionable advice for managing stress and time.

Instructional Design Approach

Followed ADDIE and Backward Design principles to ensure that all content and activities directly aligned with the course objectives.

Visual Design

Designed a clean, intuitive layout in Articulate Storyline 360 that made navigation easy for learners.

Technical Integration

Used layers, triggers, and interactive elements to create a dynamic, engaging learning experience.

Accessibility & Inclusivity

Followed AODA and WCAG standards to ensure the module was accessible for all learners.

Lessons Learned

       Collaborative Learning

Incorporating tools like Kahoot and Padlet enhanced the collaborative learning experience and helped learners engage more deeply with the content.

       Accessibility is Key

Designing with accessibility in mind from the beginning (e.g., alt-text, closed-captioning) ensures that the learning experience is inclusive and effective for a wider audience.

       Integration of External Tools

Using external tools within the learning module can boost engagement, especially in a higher education context.
